Shane Heilman is a worship leader, vocalist, songwriter, and producer originally from Madison, SD. 

In 2009, while a high school English teacher and part-time worship leader, Shane started The Psalms Project out of a desire to create more Scripturally-based worship music and to tell the entire story of each Psalm from beginning to end with artful, modern arrangements.

In collaboration with over 70 musicians, including Grammy nominees Phil Keaggy and Jeff Deyo, The Psalms Project has recorded and released over 40 entire Psalms set to music, selling thousands of albums and millions of streams worldwide.

In 2021, Shane quit his full-time job as a high school principal to devote himself to The Psalms Project full-time. He lives in Rapid City, SD, with his wife Emily and their four children.
